This one (1) day course will provide you the proper training and upon completion, a Certification of Completion as a NRA Certified Range Safety Officer. This course is designed to prepare individuals who posses basic firearms knowledge to run a live-fire range. Indoor and outdoor range settings are covered. This course is open to anyone that wishes to obtain their Range Safety Officer certification.
Every student/participant will learn how to properly take control of firearms on the firing line, how to identify stoppages and malfunctions, and how to properly clear them. Upon completion of this course, students will become NRA Certified Range Safey Officers. Certified Range Safety Officers are required for all Boy Scouts of America shooting events, NRA sanctioned shooting competitions and events, as well as many other shooting events and practically every commercial shooting range and gun club. All workbooks, tests, certificates, firearms, dummy ammunition, range time, eye and year protection are provided in this course.
Participants will need to bring a pen and pad, highliter, lunch and snacks or beverage/s (with a cap or screw on lid).
