Personal Protection Inside the Home

This is PART ONE of an optional 3-part course. The second and third portions of this course are Personal Protection Outside the Home and Personal Protection Outside the Home Advanced – this course is a prerequisite for those courses. You may choose to do this single day of training for $165.00/pp, two days of courses for $300.00, or all three courses offered for $365.00/pp. (Save $50 when you register for all three courses)

THIS CLASS IS LIMITED TO FOURTEEN (14) Participants.

The basic personal protection in the home course is for CCW holders and is much more than just a routine shooting course on a range. It is important that any participant have sufficient maturity and life experiences to be able to assess various situations and make mature decisions.

The NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home is based on the building block approach moving from simple to more complex tactics and maneuvers. Course participants must be experienced shooters to maximize what can be learned from the course.

This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of ones-self and/or family and provides information on the law abiding individuals’ right to self-defense. It satisfies all of the training requirements for any CCW permit applicant in any state or jurisdiction.

Module I: Intro to defensive shooting

Module II: Basic defensive handgun skills

Module III: Firearms & the Law: Possession, ownership and the use of deadly force

Module IV: Strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation

Module V: Selecting a handgun for self-defense

Model VI: Sport shooting activities & training opportunities

Model VII: Course review and examination

Equipment Required:

• Preferred pistol/handgun
• 100-200 rnd(s) of ammunition (no reloads except factory reloads)
• Three (3) pistol magazines
• Magazine holder (belt holder/magazine pouch)
• Eye and Ear Protection
• Ball cap/hat with a visor
• Gloves
• Proper range wear/gear required
• Cleaning Kit
• Pen & notebook or notepad
• Highlighter
• Lunch, snacks & beverage w/cap

Preregistration is required: $165.00 per person ($174.90 with tax). You may place a $25.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve your space (remaining balance due upon check-in day of course). You may also register for Personal Protection Outside the Home for $300.00/pp ($318.00 with tax), or all three classes: Personal Protection Inside the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home and Personal Protection Outside the Home Advanced for $365.00/pp ($386.90 with tax)and save $50.00.

Personal Protection Outside the Home is scheduled for Saturday, July 14, 2018.

Participants should arrive no later than 7:45 AM to complete necessary paperwork.
