CCW Class & Basic Pistol Training Course

With this class you will receive both the ETC Concealed Carry Course & Basic Pistol Training and the NRA Basic Pistol Safety Certificate/s.

This course was designed for people who wish to obtain their WV, OH or KY Concealed Carry Permit/License and who want to become competent concealed carry individuals, or those current Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) holders looking for a dedicated CCW training course. In this course, we will discuss firearm nomenclature, firearm safety, Stand Your Ground and Castle Doctorine law(s) pertinent to each state, basic shooting fundamentals, concealed handgun selection and a variety of carry methods and correlating draw techniques for each method.  

After classroom instruction and dry-fire practice, we move to the range for live fire practice and qualification. Additionally, we will cover how to disassemble and properly care for and clean a pistol. 

Upon completion, participants will receive a Certificate which may be presented with their State of Residence Application at their local Sheriff's office (or State Police detachment) for a CCW permit.  *Some states will require both a written exam and qualification target for submission with their CCW application to obtain a permit - both of which we supply.  

Edwards Training Center will provide the handgun and ammunition for this course. However, with advance notice and permission, participants may bring their own firearm and ammunition (although not required).  

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: 

   Valid State or Government issued photo ID      

   Eye & Ear Protection (can be supplied if necessary) 

   Closed toed shoes; sneakers or rugged shoes recommended 

   Pen and notebook or pad 

   Bagged lunch or snacks, beverage (with cap or screw lid) 

Preregistration for this class is preferred; Class is $79.50 (tax included). Participants should arrive 8:45 AM to complete necessary paperwork; class will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.
